Getting Personal

A professional background is one thing, but getting to know who I am in “real life” is another. I live in Carlsbad with my charming husband of 15 years, our creative and sporty teenage daughter, our fearless and spunky 10-year-old son, and our two rambunctious German shepherds.

Family means everything to me, and finding a balance between my professional career and motherhood is one of my top priorities. My husband and I are originally from Wisconsin, but we’ve called San Diego home for more than 25 years. It’s about as close to Mexico and the ocean as we could get—and we love it!

We also love traveling the world together as a family. So far, we’ve explored Costa Rica, Ireland, Japan, Peru, Panama, Italy, Vancouver and Mexico, and we look forward to a new adventure every year and making memories along the way.

Children's Book Author

I’ve also published a handful of children’s books under my own brand, Squirmy Wormy Children’s Books. Creativity has always been a big part of who I am, especially growing up with a mother who was an art teacher. Because of that, I try to bring creativity, curiosity, and an open mind to everything I do, both personally and professionally.

The Squirmy Wormy book series combines early learning with creativity, helping young children learn numbers and colors while encouraging them to explore their own artistic side. Each book also includes drawing tips and coloring pages in the back, making the series a fun and engaging resource for toddlers through kindergarten-aged children.

Professional Background

I’m a Marketing Director with the ability to be a one-person marketing department when needed, but also a strong leader who understands and appreciates the work that goes into every marketing channel. With more than 25 years of professional experience, I’ve worn a lot of hats and worked across a wide range of marketing disciplines, including content creation, website development, email marketing, social media and community management, brand development, online reputation management, graphic design, event planning and tradeshows, and both digital and print advertising.

What makes me unique is my blend of creative, strategic, analytical, and organizational skills. I understand how all the pieces of marketing work together, which helps me effectively collaborate with and lead teams of designers, developers, product managers, sales teams, and business development professionals.

Throughout my career, I’ve had the opportunity to work across a wide variety of industries and environments—from fast-paced startup cultures to established Fortune 500 brands. My experience spans consumer goods, automotive services, payment processing, financing, real estate, cloud software (SaaS), credit reporting, e-commerce, construction, education, and technology.

And honestly? I love it all. I’m always curious, always learning, and always excited by the opportunity to bring creative ideas and strategic thinking together to solve problems and make an impact.
